Following eight years in fast fashion, I am finally following my artistic dream to illustrate and paint. My commercial background has always been intertwined with the cultural world and its people. Initially, I qualified with a degree in Biological Anthropology from Cambridge University. I then went on to study Fashion Design at the Instituto Marangoni, London and since, was lured away from design and into the High Street. Now, going back to my roots, I live with my husband and two young daughters in West Sussex.
My fashion illustrations focus on the play of light and shadow, accentuating facial expression, movement, shape of the body and clothing. Conversely, my animal characters humour my inner child (and girls), exploring texture, colour and movement, capturing the persona of the animal.
